3 Aldine ISD Schools Receive CASE Partnership Grants From HCDE

Three Aldine ISD campuses — Goodman Elementary School, Stehlik Intermediate School and Raymond Academy — each received $50,ooo Cooperative for After-School Enrichment (CASE) Partnership Grants to fund after-school programs.

The CASE Partnership Project is the result of collaboration between the Harris County Department of Education (HCDE), the Houston-Galveston Area Council (HGAC), and the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC). HCDE commits local funds to serve as matching dollars that activate a commitment of Federal childcare funds through TWC.  The Partnership Project concept extends beyond traditional childcare subsidy programs – it involves schools and families as well. CASE is a division of HCDE.

Through this collaboration, the CASE Partnership Project is able to access Quality Improvement Grant funding with the goal of providing quality after-school programming for youth.  Partnership Project sites offer an array of activities that develop both academic and social skills in students that focus on school readiness, early learning and literacy.
