Girls Basketball: Eisenhower, Nimitz and Davis Earn Playoff Spots

Three Aldine ISD varsity girls’ basketball teams will begin play in the Class 5A playoffs on Monday, Feb. 10.

Eisenhower High, under the direction of head coach Kisha Jones, finished first in District 18-5A and will take on Cy-Ranch at 6 p.m. at Klein Collins High School. The Lady Eagles finished 11-1 in league play and will carry a 19-7 season record into the game against 21-9 Cy-Ranch.

Nimitz High, under the direction of head coach Tawana Rhodes, finished second in District 18-5A and will face Cy-Creek at 7:30 p.m. also at Klein Collins High School. The Lady Cougars finished with an 8-2 record in league play and will carry an 11-7 season record into the contest against 21-9 Cy-Creek.

Klein Collins High School is located at 20811 Ella Blvd.

Davis High, under the direction of head coach Tinisha Ellison, finished fourth in District 18-5A and will face Cy-Fair at 6 p.m. in the M.O. Campbell Educational Center. The Lady Falcons are the first varsity team to earn a playoff spot in the history of the two-year-old school. The Lady Falcons finished 5-6 in league play and will carry an 8-13 season record into their contest against 27-4 Cy-Fair.

Tickets are $5 for all three games.
