Campus Teacher of the Year: Davis 9th

One of Aldine ISD’s campus teachers of the year who will be honored at the [icons icon_name=”icon-external-link” icon_size=”14px”] Teacher of the Year Breakfast on March 7, 2014.

When asked about her teaching philosophy, she responded:

As a biologist and a teacher, it is my responsibility to challenge and support my students, in pursuit of three learning goals: (1) confront misconceptions about crucial biological ideas; (2) learn basic biological concepts; (3) cultivate an interest in science and an understanding of how diverse thinking impacts science. I hope to bring a fresh insight into our investigation of scientific problems and demonstrate that science is inclusive rather than exclusive.
