Campus Teacher of the Year: Escamilla Intermediate

One of Aldine ISD’s campus teachers of the year who will be honored at the [icons icon_name=”icon-external-link” icon_size=”14px”] Teacher of the Year Breakfast on March 7, 2014.

When asked about her teaching philosophy, she responded:

Philosophy of teaching can be summed up by Harry Wong who listed three suggestions in his book, stated: “A successful teacher is ready because; (1) The work is ready; (2) The room is ready; and (3) The teacher is ready. I live by this due in part to the fact that it is true. We, as teachers, are told to involve real world situations in our lessons. Well, in the real world successful professionals are always READY. The action of looking prepared speaks volumes to students.
