The state comptroller’s office has released the results from their Financial Allocation Study for Texas or FAST as it is commonly known. Aldine ISD again received a high rating for cost-effective spending and academic progress.
The annual FAST report examines both school finances and student academic progress. It evaluates the effectiveness of educational spending.
The FAST research team developed the FAST rating system. On a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best rating possible, Aldine ISD earned an efficiency rating of [icons icon_name=”icon-external-link” icon_size=”14px”]4 Stars. Districts with perfect or near-perfect scores show high academic progress with relatively low spending per student.
The 2014 FAST ratings included data from the 2010-11, 2011-12, and 2012-13 school years. In [icons icon_name=”icon-external-link” icon_size=”14px”]2013, AISD also received a 4-star rating from FAST.
It is worth mentioning that Aldine ISD received high marks earlier this school year from the Schools Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST). Aldine ISD received a [icons icon_name=”icon-external-link” icon_size=”14px”]”Superior Achievement” rating. This is the 12th straight year that AISD has earned the state’s top rating.
