Davis Falcons advance to second round of playoffs: MOC to host Class 5A, 6A regional tournaments

The Davis High Falcons defeated Langham Creek 74-60 in the first round of the Class 6A basketball playoffs to advance to the second round.

On Friday, Feb. 26, the Falcons will face Westside High in the area round of the playoffs. The game will begin at 6 p.m. and will be played at the Coleman Coliseum in Spring Branch.

The Falcons, under the direction of head coach Cornelius Mitchell, will enter the game with a 28-2 record.

Tickets are $5 for adults and students. District 18-6A, THSCA, TGCA, and THSADA passes will be accepted.

The M.O. Campbell Educational Center will host the girl’s Class 5A and 6A Region III Tournaments Feb. 26-27.

In the 5A tournament, Rudder will face Barbers Hill at 3 p.m. on Friday followed by Magnolia versus Crosby at 5 p.m.

In the 6A tournament, Cy-Fair will face Clear Spring at 6:30 p.m. followed by Tompkins versus North Shore at 8 p.m.

The Class 5A final will be played at 1 p.m. on Saturday, followed by the Class 6A final at 4 p.m.
