Sixty-two Aldine ISD educators have been named Houston Area Alliance of Black School Educators (HAABSE) Outstanding Teacher nominees. 

The Houston Area Alliance of Black School Educators recently announced the recognition of their Outstanding Teacher Awards and Recognition Ceremony scheduled for February 5, 2021. The theme for this occasion is: “Lift Every Voice”. Due to COVID-19, the event will be virtual. 

The Outstanding Teacher Awards and Recognition Ceremony celebrates teachers who continue to go above and beyond to serve their students and campus community. Nominees from each participating school will be recognized and honored during the event. 

Each year, the HAABSE Teacher of the Year Committee reviews applications and will interview nominees who have been nominated by their campus administrators. HAABSE Teacher of the Year finalists will be selected once all applications are in. 

During the virtual ceremony, one elementary and one secondary finalist will be chosen as HAABSE Teachers of the Year. Additionally, the Teacher of the Year recipients and runner ups are eligible for monetary awards of up to $1,000. For more information please visit, www.haabse.org.
