Arise High School Virtual Youth Summit Set for May 1

The Aldine Independent School District and Spring ISD have teamed up to host Arise, a virtual youth summit for high school students (Grades 9-12), on Saturday, May 1. The event will kick off at 8:30 a.m. and run until 12:30 p.m.

The summit will feature presentations from Houston-area leaders on topics of interest to young men and young women, including financial planning, self-care, career strategies, the importance of building healthy relationships, and much more!

“This summit allows speakers to give our youth, the next generation of leaders, real advice on how to navigate the road ahead,” Superintendent Dr. LaTonya M. Goffney said. “Young men and women need to hear from strong role models who can inspire them to reach the next level in their goals and aspirations. The event helps our students reach their full potential.”

There are many speakers, which will give students the opportunity to select sessions that align with their interests.

The two featured keynote speakers will be Karl Mayes, who is known as the “King Motivator” and CEO of Karl Mayes Enterprises, and Erica Davis, Harris County School Trustee and Chief of Staff for Harris County Precinct 1 Constable’s Office.

Register Before the Deadline!

The event is free. However, space is limited: 250 spaces for male students and 250 spaces for female students. To ensure a spot,  students need to register before April 16.
