AISD Holds Middle School Convocation Event

Aldine ISD held a Middle School Convocation for all staff members who will teach summer school this summer. Also in attendance were summer leads and summer administrators.

Motivational speaker and author Robert N. Harper II addressed middle school staff that will teach summer school during Aldine ISD’s Middle School Convocation held June 2 at the M.O. Campbell Educational Center.

The Convocation was held on Wednesday, June 2, at the M.O. Campbell Educational Center.

Aldine ISD product Robert N. Harper II, a motivational speaker, author, and preacher, was the keynote speaker at the event. Harper is the author of the book “Talk To Yourself.”

LaTonia Amerson, School Assistant Superintendent of Middle Schools, said she and the district’s middle school principals wanted to thank those in advance who will teach this summer to help middle school students with their academic recovery.

“We wanted to motivate the summer school teachers as they focus on learning recovery efforts for our middle school students,” Amerson said. “Coming off the pandemic, we wanted to appreciate them in advance and set the tone for the important work they will do this summer.”
