Mass Insight team will surface trends from focus group conversations, survey responses, phone calls, and data analysis to synthesize findings they will share with the district.

The school district is conducting an equity audit to identify opportunities to improve equitable systems, policies, and practices that fully support all students, families, and staff. As part of the equity process, our partner, Mass Insight Education & Research, will be engaging families through focus groups and surveys in the coming weeks.

In addition, they will be reaching out to a select number of families via phone to help us understand the current state and perceptions of equity in our district.

Participation in the 5-minute phone interview is optional but highly encouraged. Mass Insight staff will use an Aldine area number and leave a voicemail with details of engagement opportunities if the stakeholder (e.g., parent/guardian, student, staff, community member) is unavailable.

“We appreciate each families’ time and willingness to contribute to Aldine’s’ Equity journey,” Superintendent Dr. LaTonya M. Goffney said.

The information gathered from family phone calls is anonymous, and AISD partners will remove all identifying information from responses. The Mass Insight team will surface trends from focus group conversations, survey responses, phone calls, and data analysis to synthesize findings they will share with the district.

If you have any questions about the survey or equity audit, please contact Francina Victoria at [email protected].
