Your Feedback Matters – Take the American Rescue Plan Survey

Disponible en: Español

The American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act, passed on March 11, 2021, provided supplemental ESSER funding, known as the ESSER III fund. Funds are in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the need to address student-learning recovery.

The ARP Act statute requires that local education agencies (LEAs) like Aldine ISD develop and make publicly available their plans to use the funds after receiving input from stakeholders. The district’s plan must be reviewed and revised every six months. As required by the ESSER III grant guidelines, Aldine ISD is asking for stakeholder input as we implement and monitor a plan that addresses the following needs of students and staff:

  1. The district’s plan for accelerated learning to recover learning loss due to COVID-19.
  2. The district’s response to the social, emotional, and mental health needs of students and staff.
  3. The district’s response to the needs of students disproportionately impacted by the COVID–19 pandemic, including students from low-income families, students of color, English learners, children with disabilities, students experiencing homelessness, children in foster care. (e.g., meals, technology)
  4. Mitigating safety measures for safe operations of schools for in-person learning

Your feedback in these four areas is vital to planning and implementation efforts as we move forward recovering from COVID-19 and utilizing the funding to make the most significant impact for our students.

Thank you for taking the time to complete our brief survey.
