FotoFinish Fun in the School Zone Exhibit to Feature Aldine ISD Student Artists

Hall Success Academy student artists have been selected to display their photography work during the FotoFinish Fun in the School Zone exhibition at Silver Street Studios. Hall Success Academy is one of six exhibiting school and community programs participating in the exhibit. This student exhibition will celebrate a variety of student artwork, writing, and multimedia works built from in-school and after-school residencies built on the Literacy Through Photography curriculum.

Fun in the School Zone is the 2022 FotoFinish exhibition theme. During the pandemic, photography teaching artists recognized that curating a playful art exhibit could bring healing to K-12 students. The exhibit gives students an opportunity to present their experiences and ideas to their friends, families, and the public in a participatory gallery experience. Guests are encouraged to allow their inner child to be awakened during this playful exhibition. 

The FotoFinish youth and family opening reception will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 15.  The event will celebrate the student artists, educators, and families participating in the program. The exhibit will be on display from May 15  to June 4, 2022. You can register to attend the event online.
