The Student Educational Equity and Diversity (SEED) Conference will offer innovative, engaging face-to-face and virtual professional development opportunities for teachers and staff who serve students with disabilities and our emergent bilingual population in Aldine ISD. Each session will build teachers’ capacity to support all students.

All teachers are encouraged to attend the conference. The best practices educators take back to the classroom will help enhance teaching and learning for all students.

“Educators play a crucial role in nurturing equity and inclusion in the classroom. Educators can support positive behaviors among our students, fostering a sense of belonging for all students and their families and instilling respect toward their peers. We can show them what is possible by giving them access to high-quality educational experiences and guiding them toward progress each and every day. We give them access to perseverance by building their confidence and their personal and social identities. Organizers designed the SEED Conference to build teachers’ capacity. The sessions focus on supporting students with evidence-based practices, ensuring our diverse student population has access to equitable learning opportunities,” said Grace Delgado, executive director of the Multilingual Department.

- Please Note: All face-to-face sessions will be at Aldine High School (11101 Airline Dr, Houston, TX 77037). Participants can attend virtual sessions in a learning lab on campus or from anywhere they have an internet connection.
