Aldine ISD PD to Host Second ‘Stop the Hurt, Paint the Convert’ Event Aug. 13

The Aldine ISD Police Department will offer community residents a free opportunity to assist in lowering the number of catalytic converter threats by hosting “Stop the Hurt, Paint the Convert” on Saturday, Aug. 13, at Blanson CTE High School (311 West Road).

This free event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Community members are encouraged to come to Blanson CTE High School on Aug. 13 and have their catalytic converters painted a bright neon color. This should help prevent thieves from attempting to steal catalytic converters, which has become an epidemic recently in the Houston area.

All vehicles will be accepted, and participants must sign a waiver.

Time slots are available. Interested individuals should contact Aldine ISD Police Officer Ariel Holliday at 281 924-6926.

The event is sponsored by Jed’s Ace Hardware and the Texas Gulf Coast Prevention Association.
