FACE Made Sure Our Students Are Ready For School Today
Disponible en:
On Saturday, August 6, Aldine ISD’s Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Department hosted its annual Back-To-School Expo at the M. O. Campbell Educational Center. At the event, FACE staff members distributed free backpacks and school supplies to all families who attended.
The drive-through expo utilized volunteers and donations from the various business sponsors of the event. It was held from 9 to 11 a.m. and was able to service over 2,000 cars while handing out nearly 8,500 school supplies to families and students. Despite the rain that occurred during the expo, FACE and the volunteers were able to continue the event and keep the lines of cars steadily moving.
Looking for opportunities to provide assistance to our communities is something that AISD is always striving for, and through the FACE Department, this opportunity was able to be met.
