Ermel Elementary Makes a Slam Dunk With New Basketball Court Donation From Bimbo Bakeries

After hearing that Bimbo Bakeries donated basketball goals and a paint job to Smith Elementary through their Good Neighbor program, she reached out. Alma was thrilled when Bimbo replied that they were on board and that Ermel would also be getting a basketball court in two weeks time.

The students and teachers at Ermel were overjoyed when Bimbo Bakeries visited to cut the ribbon on the new court, students said they couldn’t wait to start shooting hoops. Students also said “I want Gansito!” and “Takis, takis, takis, takis…”

Thanks to Alma’s engagement and care, the Ermel community now has brand new basketball goals and a shiny paint job, which will provide endless hours of dunking, H.O.R.S.E., and fun exercise for the students.

Alma is grateful for Bimbo’s generosity, and she knows that the new basketball court will be a valuable resource for the students and teachers at Ermel elementary school.
