2 Students Named Winners of District’s National School Breakfast Week Bike Contest

The Child Nutrition Department on March 31 awarded two students with bicycles as part of the National School Breakfast Week Bike Contest.

Luis Salazar of Houston Academy and Clarissa Guillen of Worsham Elementary School were the lucky winners.

Susan D’Amico, executive director of child nutrition services, stated that Worsham Elementary and Houston Academy cafeteria teams had the highest increase in breakfast participation during National School Breakfast Week (before spring break). The winners were selected randomly from each campus.
