MacArthur and Aldine Boys Advance to the Area Round of Soccer Playoffs

After MacArthur boys handled Caney Creek in the first round of the playoffs Thursday night, four Aldine ISD teams looked to keep their season alive on Friday. Both MacArthur and Aldine girls’ teams witnessed their season come to a close, each falling short by only one goal to their opponent. Eisenhower experienced a hard-fought loss after playing 100 minutes, seeing their season decided by penalty kicks. The Aldine Mustangs went into halftime, tied 0-0 against a strong College Park team. Coach Melbin Barahona inspired his Aldine boys to come out and score three quick goals, ultimately advancing to the next round by a final score of 4-2.

MacArthur will look to continue their dominant season on Tuesday, March 28, against Cypress Springs. The game will take place at 7:30 p.m. Purchase tickets HERE.
