“ILS of the Year” is awarded for hard work and dedication to creating a nurturing library and library program that promotes literacy and encourages all students to explore, discover, and learn.

“Outstanding Library Supporter” is awarded to a campus principal who supports and partners with the campus ILS to develop a strong library and literacy program.

Elementary ILS of the Year — Tara Rollins, ILS at Kujawa Elementary

Rollins was chosen for her dedication to family and community outreach and for mentoring as a leader at her campus and on the district library team.

Secondary ILS of the Year — William Schaller, ILS at Hoffman MS

Schaller was chosen for his tireless work remodeling and revitalizing the library and library program at his school and engaging students with literacy opportunities.

Outstanding Elementary Library Supporter — Susan Rehan, principal at Escamilla Elementary

Rehan was chosen for her support of family-focused library programming and for elevating her ILS as an instructional leader on campus.

Outstanding Secondary Library Supporter — Jeana Adams, principal at Hoffman MS

Adama was chosen for her commitment to a culture of literacy and reading and for her constant support and celebration of her ILS and his work.
