The FREE summer opportunities are open to Aldine ISD students.
Aldine ISD offers an exciting FREE summer learning experience for selected prekindergarten (PreK 4) and kindergarten students.
Why take advantage of Aldine ISD’s summer learning experiences?
This year’s theme is Feel the RUSH! Each student who participates in summer learning will grow academically and socially, explore unique ways of learning, and display talents that will propel them into the future.
During summer learning, scholars will have opportunities to learn new content and recover learning gaps while displaying their endless talents and preparing for the future. There is no cost for your child to participate!
Participation and successful completion of this program may prevent retention. For students to fully benefit from this opportunity, it is important for them to attend daily.
- Sessions: 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., from Monday to Thursday
- Free activities and meals (breakfast and lunch).
- AISD will provide transportation for all eligible students.
Primary Grades Prekindergarten-Kindergarten
Students will have many opportunities to grow academically and socially. Our summer learning experience for PreK4 and kindergarteners offers different learning styles, including hands-on experiences, ensuring each student engages in every activity. What about interests and hobbies? Opportunity Hour will have students discovering and developing their unique talents.
Our Summer Scholars will challenge their brains to learn new things! Scholars will have academic enrichment opportunities to ensure they are grade-level-ready. Our carefully chosen programs and
activities also celebrate each student’s uniqueness and prepare them for their future.
- Schools will directly invite students who will benefit the most from the FREE summer learning experience with a flier to register. If your child receives a flier, please get in touch with your child’s school for more information about their options and receive a QR code specific to their child’s ID number.

Middle Grades 6-8
Summer Series: Where Champions Are Made will be an exciting, fun summer camp experience. It’s the perfect place for your child to have a blast and learn through hands-on activities! Students will accelerate their knowledge in four areas: English language arts (ELA), math, science, and social studies.
In addition, students will have the opportunity to participate in enrichment opportunities and additional campus-specific options.
Students who need to attend due to promotion requirements will be notified through their enrolled campus. Students who would like to attend summer school enrichment can sign up with their counselor or campus summer school site coordinator.

The BRIDGES (Building Resilient, Intellectually, Determined Generations of Educated Scholars) Summer Program is for current Grades 9-12 students. The summer scholars can recover course credits needed to graduate or participate in initial credit courses and camp experiences.
School transportation is available, and you must contact the specific campus for detailed information.

BRIDGES Camp Experiences
Students can also explore areas of interest. They can choose from the arts to career and technical education (CTE). Additionally, students will experience “Wow Factor Thursdays” geared toward helping them build their bridges to success in school, college, and career.

Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Assessment (TSIA) Camp
What is TSI/TSIA? The Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Assessment TSIA assesses college readiness in reading, writing, and math unless the student qualifies for an exemption or demonstrates college readiness. The State requires the TSI/TSIA of Texas for all entering college students. Click here to learn more about TSIA.
Lane School Transition Work-Based Learning Summer Enrichment
The Lane School summer program intends to create a bridge for students moving from high school to the Lane Transition Service Center. With a focus on learning work-based skills, the program will allow students interested in gaining competitive employment to increase and gain new skills on and off campus through community-based instruction.
Educators will continue the work of empowering students and helping them be agents of their own success through self-advocacy, self-determination, and preparing our students for postsecondary success.
The summer opportunity is for high school Level 2 and Level 3 seniors designated ARDed to attend Lane School during the 2023-2024 school year. Students must be able to follow directions with minimal prompting and can take care of all self-care needs independently.
