Sweets for a Cause: OneGoal and Tiff’s Treats Join Forces for Cookies for Community Campaign

OneGoal is an exceptional program that offers high school juniors and seniors a unique elective opportunity to pursue their aspirations for postsecondary education. Through this program, students come together in a cohort led by a Program Director, engaging with them daily for two years. During this time, they develop their identities, explore their dreams, and set meaningful goals for themselves. In addition, the program equips them with the necessary skills to navigate the complexities of postsecondary spaces successfully. Collaborating closely with their Program Director and OneGoal-Houston Staff Member, students learn how to complete applications, apply for financial aid through FAFSA, and gain valuable insights into the financial implications of the decisions they make for their futures. OneGoal empowers students with the knowledge and resources they need to thrive in their pursuit of higher education.

Starting May 21 through June 3, OneGoal is teaming up with Tiff’s Treats for their Cookies for Community campaign. Tiff’s Treats will donate 20% of all sales made with the unique OneGoal code “OneGoalHou” during checkout online. When you buy 1 dozen cookies from Tiff’s Treats and use our code at checkout, $4 goes directly to OneGoal. This partnership will go a long way in supporting OneGoal’s efforts to provide college access and success resources to Aldine students like a Workforce Symposium and college field trips.

OneGoal, a nonprofit organization, is dedicated to ensuring that students from under-resourced communities have the resources and support they need to reach their postsecondary goals. The program begins during Aldine students’ junior year of high school and continues through their first year of postsecondary education. Through direct support and counseling, OneGoal offers students a personalized roadmap to navigate the college and career landscape.

 OneGoal’s unique approach includes placing a Program Director in each OneGoal classroom to provide one-on-one advising and support to students as they work towards their postsecondary aspirations. The organization’s latest campaign is set to directly support over 400 students on Aldine ISD campuses directly, enhancing their advising experiences and helping them achieve their dreams. Additionally, by embedding the OneGoal program into a student’s course curriculum, the organization is able to provide targeted support and resources to ensure that each student has the tools they need to succeed in their postsecondary pursuits.
