Aldine ISD Approved Stoles and Cords for Graduation

Disponible en: Español

The Aldine Independent School District announced the approved stoles and cords for high school graduation ceremonies. In general, the main components of graduation attire are:

  • Gown
  • Cap (with tassel)
  • Hood
  • Stoles/sashes
  • Cords

The stole or sash can come in different colors, representing an academic program or major. A graduation cord parallels the stole but looks like a rope and represents extra extracurricular activities, clubs, and achievements.

There are some cords not allowed to be worn during AISD school graduations. Please see the informational flyer below for the approved stoles and cords list.

Graduation for Aldine ISD high school students begins this week, on Wednesday, May 31.

The plans for high school graduation ceremonies include hundreds of seniors receiving diplomas during 10 ceremonies.

Held in the arena of the M.O. Campbell Educational Center.

The district plans to live-stream the three graduations, allowing those unable to attend in person to watch the ceremony.
