Chiquita Sanders Named a Region 4 Secondary Teacher of the Year Finalist

A teacher’s influence starts with a ripple and has an endless impact on students, families, and our community.

Chiquita Sanders, a teacher at Stovall Middle School, was recently selected as one of three finalists in Region 4 ESC’s Secondary Teacher of the Year Awards program.

For the third consecutive year, an Aldine ISD Teacher of the Year has risen to the top to compete with the top teachers in the area.

Sanders advanced to the regional level after earning the district title of Secondary Teacher of the Year in March.

The Region 4 ESC Elementary Teacher of the Year winner will be announced on Tuesday, August 1, during the 34th annual Region 4 Teachers of the Year Awards luncheon. The event will stream live on Facebook at 12:30 p.m.

The selected finalist will advance to represent Region 4 ESC in the TASA Texas Teacher of the Year program.
