Aldine ISD To Host Third Annual Fall Family Conference

On Saturday, Oct. 21, Aldine ISD’s Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Department will host its third annual Fall Family Conference at Davis High School. This is an opportunity for Aldine’s parents to learn about various student and family programs offered by the district. 

There will be multiple breakout sessions held between 9 a.m. and noon. Families will be given brochures to view all of the sessions that are of interest to them, and they will be able to choose which sessions to attend. Some of the session topics include choice schools in Aldine, college scholarships for students within the district and mental health, which was the most popular topic at last year’s conference. to support learning at home and college and career preparation.

 

Sessions will be held in various classrooms, and the event will feature several  community partners who will be available to share information and resources about their organizations.

  • Empowerment Session 1: 9:15 am-10:00 am
  • Empowerment Session 2: 10:10 am -10:55 am
  • Community Partner Exhibits: 10:30 am-12:30 pm.

 

Aldine ISD and FACE are committed to finding ways to provide information and resources to families. Come out at 9 a.m. on Oct. 21, and learn more about the programs that are offered at Aldine ISD. There will also be complimentary snacks for all guests.

Families that attend at least one empowerment session and visit with community partners will receive a special gift, while supplies last.
