Aldine ISD Trustees Hold November Board Meeting

During the Nov. 1 Trustees meeting, Chief Financial Officer Stan Osborne presented the district’s Audit Report, prepared by external auditors Weaver and Tidwell, for the 2022-23 school year. According to Weaver and Tidwell, the Audit Report was unmodified or a clean opinion. Weaver and Tidwell stated it was the highest level of assurance to be given on a financial statement. The Audit Report will now be forwarded to the Texas Education Agency.

Staff Assignment Announced

During the Nov. 14 Board of Trustees meeting, Aldine ISD Superintendent Dr. LaTonya M. Goffney announced one staff assignment.

  • Tracy Mansfield was named Executive Director of Math and Science after serving as the district’s Director of Learning, Tutoring, and Student Initiatives.

Action Items Approved

During the Nov. 14 Board meeting, Aldine ISD Trustees approved the following action items:

  • Approved the minutes from previous meetings
  • Approved Aldine ISD Head Start 2024 Refunding Application
  • Approved the District and Campus goals and performance objectives for the 2023-24 school year
  • Approved single contracts and purchases of more than $100,000 and greater
  • Approved the monthly Tax Office refunds

Before the start of the November Board meeting, the Aldine ISD Police Department’s Color Guard presented the colors, and students from Kujawa Elementary School led the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance and Pledge to the Texas Flag. The December Board meeting will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 12. It will begin at 7 p.m. in the Board Room of the Donaldson Administration Building.
