8 AISD Student Artworks Selected For Texas’ Youth Art Month Exhibition

Eight Aldine ISD students have been selected by the Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) to have their artwork displayed at the Youth Art Month (YAM) Exhibition in Austin. Student art will be exhibited at the Bullock Texas State History Museum during the month of March, and the exhibit will be featured on the museum’s webpage for Youth Art Month.

The students created artwork that was chosen by a jury from among hundreds of submissions from PreK-12 students across Texas.

Awards Ceremony

Students whose artwork is selected for the exhibition will be invited to attend an Awards Ceremony at the museum on Sunday, March 10.

Museum Information

The Bullock Texas State History Museum is located at 1800 Congress Ave, Austin, TX, 78701. The museum is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Youth Art Month exhibit will be on display from February 26 to March 30, 2024.

In March, artworks from the winning students will be displayed at the Texas State Capitol and the Bullock Texas State History Museum. An exhibition and awards reception and ceremony will occur later in 2024 at the Bullock Texas State History Museum. The exhibit is available for public viewing throughout March at the museum.

YAM is a nationally recognized program emphasizing the value of art education during March. It promotes the importance of art appreciation and encourages support for quality art programs to be placed in schools.
