Aldine ISD has named Scott A. Dubberke as the new assistant superintendent of elementary schools team one. Dubberke’s extensive experience and dedication to education align with the district’s strategic plan’s goal of attracting, growing, and retaining top talent equipped and empowered to meet the needs of all students.

As the assistant superintendent of elementary schools, Dubberke will play a vital role in shaping and implementing educational strategies that support student growth and success. He will provide instructional leadership to principals through coaching and support for student achievement and developing high academic standards. He will work with elementary school principals to maximize their capacity to improve teaching and learning by providing coaching and training.

“Scott’s extensive background in education, coupled with his unwavering dedication to student achievement, makes him the ideal candidate for this position. With his leadership, we are confident that our elementary schools team one will continue to thrive and provide our students the highest quality learning experiences,” said Superintendent Dr. LaTonya M. Goffney.

Dubberke began his career in education in 1999 as a third-grade teacher at Black Elementary School in Aldine ISD. Dubberke went on to serve as the fourth-grade lead teacher and the curriculum specialist at the same campus. In 2006, Dubberke joined Gray Elementary School as an assistant principal, a position he held until 2014 before being named campus principal. Dubberke was named the AISD 2018 Elementary/Intermediate Principal of the Year. He moved into a district administrative role in 2021 as a human resources director.

Dubberke received his bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University and his master’s from Sam Houston State University in administration.
