The district’s annual FFA Livestock Show and Auction will be held this week, Jan. 24-26, at the M.O. Campbell Educational Center. In addition to livestock student projects, the community will enjoy viewing the artworks produced by students across the district.

Judges deliberated over two hours on 150 artworks considered for the FFA Art Auction, which will happen during the Livestock Show’s Auction.

“This is a huge honor as most districts do not have a second opportunity for students to earn scholarship funding for their rodeo artwork,” said Kaileigh Newman, visual arts director. “Thank you to the CTE Department for their continued support and collaboration with the Visual Arts Department and for giving art students another venue to shine.”

The Grand Champion artwork was created by Emanuel Perales from Davis High School. Richard Zavala created the Reserve Grand Champion artwork from MacArthur High School.
