District Encourages Students and Staff to Take Part in Red Ribbon Week Activities

Red Ribbon Week is the nation’s oldest and largest drug prevention program, annually reaching millions of Americans in thousands of schools, communities, and drug abuse prevention organizations. It’s our way of honoring Special Agent KiKi Camarena’s memory and showing our dedication to avoiding drug abuse.

Join this year’s activities by participating in Aldine ISD’s Red Ribbon Week activities from October 21 through October 25. Schools across the district will celebrate the weeklong event in various additional ways, such as posters, wristbands, and other awareness materials that schools can use to engage students and families in tobacco and vaping prevention.

The district is encouraging students and staff across the district to take part each day during the week of October 21 with the following daily themes:

Red Ribbon Week Spirit Days

Monday, October 21: Be Brave, Be Drug-Free
Wear red to show your commitment to a drug-free life.

Tuesday, October 22: We’re Too Bright for Drugs
Wear neon colors or sunglasses.

Wednesday, October 23: Drugs Can’t Find Us in Camo
It’s camo or military-themed day.

Thursday, October 24: Healthy Body, Healthy Mind
Put on your sportswear or fitness gear.

Friday, October 25: Team Up Against Drugs
Wear your favorite sports team gear.
