HOPE Clinic Aldine Meadows Expands to Offer Dental Care

Families in the Aldine area have something to smile about: HOPE Clinic is bringing accessible dental care.

HOPE Clinic Aldine Meadows held a grand opening on December 13 to celebrate the expansion of its services, which now include affordable dental care.

According to Dr. Andrea Caracostis, CEO of HOPE Clinic, health care is vital for everybody but can be a source of stress due to fear of cost. The HOPE Clinic Aldine Meadows location will integrate patient dental histories with its electronic health records, allowing HOPE Clinic staff to connect their patients’ clinical outcomes with their oral health needs. HOPE Clinic is a Federally Qualified Health Center.

Caracostis said the HOPE Clinic’s objective remains the same: to bring better and more accessible care to patients in underserved communities. This commitment is at the heart of everything the clinic does, and it is dedicated to positively impacting our community’s health, including promoting healthier smiles.

“There is a link between oral and general health,” said Caracostis. “The clinic provides the convenience for patients to focus on both and continue to improve their overall health. Healthy gums and teeth can play a large role in building self-confidence in children and adults.”

In addition to Dr. Caracostis, several leaders, such as State Representative Armando Walle, U.S. Representative Sylvia García, and Aldine ISD Superintendent Dr. LaTonya M. Goffney, were in attendance to celebrate. Also present were Tabbie Saenz, director of business development at the Asian American Health Coalition-HOPE Clinic, and HOPE Clinic board members. Adding to the celebration was the district’s Mead Middle School band, which played at the event.

The facility, at Aldine at 2112 Aldine Meadows Rd., hours of service are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays. The Aldine Meadows medical site offers dental exams, cleanings, fillings, extractions, sealants, and pediatric dental services.

Patients currently see medical providers at HOPE Clinic Aldine Meadows for family medicine, pediatrics, immunizations, women’s health services, lab services, and behavioral/mental health care. Adding dental care will streamline health care visits, making it a one-stop comprehensive clinic.

The second HOPE Clinic site in Aldine, which does not offer dental care services, is at 3000 Aldine Mail Route Rd, Building C, Suite 200. Service hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays. The extended hours ensure that services are accessible to everyone, even those with busy schedules.
