2 AISD Student Artworks Selected For Texas’ Youth Art Month 2025 Exhibition

Two Aldine ISD students, Calixta Joy Nuasi and Diane Chagoya, have been selected by the Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) to exhibit their artwork at the prestigious Youth Art Month (YAM) Exhibition in Austin. In March, their art will be displayed at the Bullock Texas State History Museum, and the exhibit will also be featured on the museum’s webpage for Youth Art Month.

Calixta and Diane created artwork that a jury chose from among hundreds of submissions from prekindergarten to grade 12 students across Texas.

Awards Ceremony

A panel of jurors selected the students’ artwork for the exhibition; the students will be honored at an exclusive Awards Ceremony at the museum on March 9.

“This is a significant achievement,” said Kaileigh Newman, AISD visual arts director. “And we are thrilled to celebrate our students’ and their teachers’ creativity and talent.”

The Bullock Texas State History Museum is at 1800 Congress Ave, Austin, TX, 78701. It is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Sunday.
