District’s Fall 2025 Career and Technical Education Expo

Aldine ISD’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) Expo was held in the M.O. Campbell Educational Center (MOC). The event targets middle school, exposing them to organizations and Choice School programs offered in the district.

“The CTE Expo is always exciting for our new class of high school students to find programs that interest them,” said Brooke Martin, executive director of the AISD Career and Technical Education Department.

Eighth-graders from all Aldine middle school campuses attended the event.

To encourage direct engagement, each student received a passport booklet activity. Students would approach tables, gather information, and complete their assignment.

Every high school CTE program and choice school alternative had a table display around the floor of the MOC, offering students a range of opportunities in AISD.

“Seeing the welding program in person today made me excited to start high school,” Bryan, Aldine ISD student.

The impact was immediate. Tom and Kevin, who represented their schools’ accounting clubs, Davis and MacArthur, saw overwhelming interest. 

“We had three stacks of pamphlets and they’re now gone,” said Tom. He added, “Our goal is to be financially stable, and with this event, hopefully we can direct students looking for the same goal.”

The event successfully focused students’ attention on career paths, encouraging them to consider their future and the skills, certifications they can acquire through school programs and experience from industry partners.

“We are glad to see so many students finding different avenues we offer at the high school level,” said Martin.
