Aldine ISD to Host Help Centers to Assist Families With Choice School Applications

Aldine ISD will be hosting five Application Help Centers on Wednesday, December 3, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. to provide families with personalized guidance for their Choice School applications. Families can visit the center nearest them to receive this individualized support from district staff and learn more about enrollment options, from prekindergarten through high school.

The locations include:

• HEAL Program at Nimitz High School, 2425 W.W. Thorne Blvd.
• Davis High School, 12525 Ella Blvd.
• Hall Success Academy, 15014 Aldine Westfield Rd.
• Blanson CTE High School, 311 West Road
• Carver High School (temporarily housed at Eisenhower Ninth Grade School during Carver’s construction), 3550 West Gulf Bank Rd.

“We know not all families can come to our events on the weekends, which is why we are hosting the Application Help Centers during the week during convenient hours for them,” said Gabriela “Gaby” Sierra, executive director of the Office of Transformation. “Our team will guide families through the application process and answer any questions. With over 30 schools to choose from, there’s a pathway for every child.

“We strongly encourage families to apply before the First Lottery, as applications submitted afterward have a significantly lower chance of securing a spot in their desired program. We want to emphasize that families outside Aldine are also welcome to apply.”

Important dates for families interested in Choice Schools:

• Online applications open: October 1, 2025 – Visit Apply.AldineISD.org
• First Choice Schools lottery: December 17, 2025
• Deadline to accept offered seats: January 31, 2026
• Second Choice Schools lottery: April 8, 2026
• Deadline to accept offered seats: April 29, 2026
• Applications accepted on a rolling basis: April 30 – August 31, 2026
