The Aldine ISD community is invited to take part in a unique community celebration on Thursday, July 16, at W.W. Thorne Stadium, 1865 Aldine Bender Road.

World-record-holding ultra-endurance cyclist Bond Almand will stop in Aldine as part of his 10,000-mile cross-country journey from Miami to Seattle while carrying the NFL Super Bowl game ball won by the Seattle Seahawks.

Hosted in partnership with Extreme Networks, the event will feature a community bike ride around Thorne Stadium, a question-and-answer session with Almand at the community center and family-friendly activities for all ages. Community members are encouraged to bring their own bicycles and ride alongside Almand during his Aldine visit.

Food and drinks will be available during the event. The community is encouraged to attend and be part of this memorable occasion celebrating endurance, fitness and community engagement.
