Key Communicator Resources

Aldine ISD Key Communicator Network – Helping share the stories of Aldine ISD

The Office of Communications informs employees, parents, and the community through several communication channels. Our office works to share the district’s efforts to deliver a high-quality education to all students through storytelling. We are always on the lookout for positive district stories, and key communicators play a key role in this.

The campus brand ambassadors are the “ears on the street.” Campus key communicators help inform the Office of Communications about compelling, unique, and innovative stories that are happening across the district. They share stories about everything newsworthy, including student accomplishments, campus successes, employee accolades, school celebrations, etc. By sharing the information, our department can review the information and determine how else to make the story come to life. This could mean using it as a story on the district’s website, sharing it via our social media channels, pitching it to the local and national media, following up with a visual story to use as a celebration point for the Superintendent, or highlighting it during a school board meeting. There’s never too much good news. Examples: Student success stories, highly effective/innovative teaching, major district/campus initiatives, major academic awards/achievements, etc.

Key Communicators will be provided training throughout the school year and additional resources to establish guidelines covering multiple topics. This includes writing, social media, imagery, tone, and voice. We will even celebrate campuses that get it right with surprise awards for best practices. Our goal is to empower you to share your campus story with your community and the Aldine ISD family.

If you have some good news you’d like to share, send us a quick message. If you need to update your campus contact information, we have you covered.
