Stehlik Intermediate Karate Students Shine at Tournament

Stehlik Intermediate School’s afterschool CASE (Cooperative for After-School Enrichment) Karate program shines at tournament held Dec. 8, 2012 at Attucks Middle School in Houston ISD. Several Stehlik students earned top honors.

Jasmine García — 1st Place in Chung Gi, 2nd Place in Self-defense and 2nd Place in Sparring
Perla Ramón — 1st Place in Final Sparring, 2nd Place in Sparring and 2nd Place in Chung Gi

Karate promotes self-discipline, self-confidence, and mental alertness. Instructor Chelsea Scott of Northside Karate, places special emphasis on reinforcing skills and character development that will last a lifetime.
