Disponible en: Español

Beginning Thursday, October 1,  Aldine ISD Child Nutrition will offer free meals through an extended waiver from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA).

Students learning on campus and at home can receive breakfast and lunch at no cost through the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year. All students are eligible for one breakfast and one lunch per day per federal guidance. If a student eats breakfast and lunch on campus, the student is not eligible to pick up meals at the curbside meal site.

On-Campus Students

Students attending on-campus instruction are eligible to receive breakfast and lunch at no cost beginning Thursday, October 1.   Parents or guardians can add funds to their child’s SchoolCafe account for a la carte purchases in preparation for the end of the USDA waiver.

After the waiver expires, Aldine ISD will switch back to the normal School Breakfast and Lunch program. Breakfast will be available for all students at no cost. Lunch will be charged based on meal status as free, reduced-price, or paid. Parents or guardians who need to complete a meal application for the 2020-2021 school year must do so by Thursday, October 1 to avoid a change with student eligibility.
